Happy Days Retro Vacations is a wonderful glamping site in the Suffolk countryside, just a short drive from the centre of Saxmundham. For those who enjoy all things vintage, our fleet of airstreams and curvy caravan are the perfect places to stay. Our vintage glamping site is just 10 minutes from the Suffolk Heritage coast and is surrounded by beautiful farmland.
All glampers have access to our on-site facilities. There is a large toilet and shower block just 50 yards from the trailers which has large, family-style shower rooms and hot water washing up sinks. At colder times, there is underfloor heating and heated towel rails. Each airstream trailer also has an individual fire pit which guests can use free of charge. Firewood is available to buy at reception or you are welcome to bring your own.
Guests can choose from one of our 7 airstreams or our vintage caravan.
Wanda: A beautiful Streamline Countess who has come all the way from Perrysville, Ohio. Streamline's are extremely rare in the UK, we are only aware of two others! Before finding a home with us, she was in a sad and unloved state. Now she is a gleaming beauty and offers comfortable accommodation for couples and families. She’s a 4 berth trailer with a double bed in her sleeping section and an awesome turquoise vinyl dinette that makes another double. She has plenty of wardrobe space, turquoise and pink curtains, a fabulous original pink sink and a pink and grey checkerboard floor. She is a thing of rare beauty!
Dee Dee: Born in 1959, this southern belle spent most of her days looking across the Atlantic Ocean from Myrtle Beach. Dee Dee is a bygone beauty with gingham curtains and a lovely wood interior. She is a vintage lady who exudes the old-style class. This four-berth trailer has a seating area that converts to a double and the front and twin beds in the middle.
Betsy: This lovely lady hails from Pennsylvania and enjoys wonderful views through the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Born in 1972, she has been beautifully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for 4. There are twin beds in the middle and a seating area that converts to a double at the front. With her sassy red upholstery and retro floral curtains, this vintage silver bullet is a true American beauty.
Peggy: A true mystery girl, this gorgeous caravan is a Tradewind born in 1973. We don’t know her exact origin, however, she has now found a loving home with us at Happy Days RV. Peggy has a gaucho sofa that converts to a double bed at the front and she also has a double bed in the middle with a small canvas bunk above (suitable for kids aged 6 upwards to small teens). She’s a five berth, with plenty of wardrobe space, beautiful striped curtains and blue upholstery.
Gloria: For a lady in her 50’s, this Californian lady is a gorgeous 1961 Overlander. She is a five berth trailer with a sofa that makes a double bed at the front, a single bed and bunk beds in the middle. With her original fridge door intact, beautiful wooden interior and strawberry and gingham curtains how can anyone resist this beach babe’s charms?
Annie: A real head turner, this large four berth Airstream was born in 1966 and has found a home with us after starting her life amidst the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Her front section she has a sofa that converts to a double bed and a double bed in her middle section. Annie has plenty of storage, fabulous flamingo curtains with contrasting green gingham curtains that match with her green and grey checkerboard flooring.
Nettie: Born in 1972, Nettie is a wonderful Avion trailer. Made by the Avion company based in Detroit Michigan, Nettie is a Motown Diva. She was born in 1972 and spent her time with various owners all in Connecticut, in striking distance of the bright lights of NYC. She is a four-berth trailer, with a cosy dinette that makes a small double bed and twin beds in her middle section. With her 1970s inspired orange upholstery and flowery curtains, this vintage trailer is a true soul sister!
Elsie: A fabulous lady and our only British girl. She is a fantastic Cheltenham Sable caravan with a classic charm. Her bay window, two doors and beautiful pistachio and white exterior are a charming site for all. She has vintage floral curtains, a checkerboard floor and a double bed. Elsie may be small but she is equipped with a camping loo, a two ring hob and a small fridge. At just over thirteen feet long Elsie may be pint-sized but this curvy classic is a cracking cosy caravan for couples.
