Peak View Shepherd Huts near Glossop in Derbyshire, offers 3 luxurious shepherd huts in rolling countryside. Located at the foot of the Pennines, we are the perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park.
Our 3 outstanding shepherd huts each have an individual style and offer comfort throughout. Situated within their own, private 3 acre paddock, they are the ideal countryside retreat.
Wooley’s Hut: This charming hut sleeps up to 2 people and includes a lovely British wool double sofa and a soft fixed double bed with 32’’ smart TV/DVD player. In front of the bed is a cast iron log burner to keep you warm and toasty. The hut has an en suite toilet and walk in shower. Kitchen facilities include 2 electric induction hobs, kettle, microwave and farmhouse style ceramic sink. Outside is a large wooden decking area with a table and seating. An ideal spot for relaxing and admiring the view.
Erica’s Hut: Out lovely hut has a soft fixed king size bed with 32’ smart TV/DVD player and a comfy double sofa. The kitchen area has 2 electric induction hobs, kettle, microwave and farmhouse style sink. A cast iron log burner will keep you warm on a chilly Winter’s evening. The en suite bathroom has a large walk in shower, toilet and stylish ceramic wash bowl. Outside is a wooden decking area with table and seating.
Meadow Hut: This 2 person hut includes a comfortable leather double sofa and soft fixed king size bed with 32 smart TV/DVD player. The kitchen area has 2 electric induction hobs, kettle, microwave and farmhouse style ceramic sink. A cast iron log burner will keep you warm on the chilliest of days and the en suite bathroom comes with a large walk in shower. Outside the wooden decking area has a table and seating.
All our huts include luxury linen, towels and dressing gowns. All the huts have a fire pit and two huts have hot tubs. We provide a welcome pack including a selection of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and homemade biscuits.
Within walking distance from our huts is Windy Harbour Farm Hotel which has a restaurant and a well stocked bar. There are scenic walks in the surrounding countryside including the Pennine Way, Trans Pennine Trail and the Longdendale Trail. Many Peak District towns and villages can be reached in around half an hour, including the spa town of Buxton and beautiful villages of Edale and Castleton. Bakewell and the magnificent Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are around an hour away, and for those who prefer the bright lights of the big city, Glossop train station offers a direct service to Manchester city centre in around 30 minutes.
