By The Wood Campsite near Shrewsbury is perfect for a memorable camping and glamping getaway. Based in rural Shropshire, we are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

We are ideal for families, walkers and bird-watchers looking for somewhere special to stay. We offer hard-standing and grass pitches. The pitches are spacious some come with electric hook up. The pitches are placed around the site to take advantage of the views.

Onsite we have a new toilet and shower block that includes an accessible shower. There is also a covered washing up, drinking water, ice pack freezing and EV charging.

We also offer glamping accommodation in our two brand-new pods. Each pod sleeps up to 2 adults and comes with an en suite toilet and shower. One of the pods has a wood-fired hot tub to enjoy. Booth pods include a free sat TV, a kitchenette, rattan furniture, BBQ and fire pit. We also provide a welcome pack.

Whilst staying with us you can explore the area. The Stiperstones National Nature Reserve is a short drive away and the town of Shrewsbury is just 8 miles from us. Attractions to visit include:
