Woodland View is a dog friendly shepherds hut half an hour’s drive from Carlisle in Hethersgill. It is the perfect bolthole for those who are looking for a relaxing and chilled out breakaway. Our hut is the ideal base from which to explore Cumbria and for visiting Hadrian’s Wall.
Our hut is a lovely glamping experience. Each shepherd's hut has its own hot tub and private toilet/shower block for there own private use. Facilities include:
Comfy double bed.
Table and chairs.
Electric stove.
TV.
DVD player.
Microwave.
Kettle.
Toaster.
Hob.
Fridge.
Cups, plates and cutlery.
Guests also have their own private verandah to the front where there is seating, a hot tub, BBQ and a chiminea for warmth. This is the perfect for spot for a cuppa or glass of fizz while enjoying the peace and tranquillity away from the busyness of life. The area offers lovely views of the woodland.

The village of Hethersgill is situated on a crossroad and is between Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish border. We offer the ideal base for visiting Cumbria and the Lake District. Hadrian’s Wall/Gretna Green and the Scottish Borders are all within half an hour’s drive. There is a welcoming inn half a mile from the shepherd's hut and also other pubs and restaurants in the area where you can grab a bite to eat and something to drink.
