Silloth House Campsite is a small family run site offering facilities for tents, campervans and motorhomes. The site is located in a secluded setting, a short walk from Austwick village. The market town of Settle is just a short journey away.
There are 8 pitches available, 6 of them serviced. Seasonal pitches for touring caravans are also present.
Facilities include showers, toilets, washing up, area for games and a stream running at the side of the campsite which is popular with families.
The nearby village of Austwick has a shop, playing fields and playground. Also, the village pub, the Gamecock, is a great for meals. The site is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and it is perfect for walking, cycling, and horse riding, with several footpath routes directly accessible from the campsite .The Pennine Bridleway is close by. In addition the Way Of the Roses Coast to Coast cycle route runs directly past the campsite.
There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby including Ingleborough Cave and Nature Trail, White Scar Caves, the Norber Erratics, and on selected dates, the famous Gaping Gill which is a large underground cave,
The campsite, is conveniently situated for walkers wanting to take part in the famousYorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, or just explore Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside at a more leisurely pace.
