Old York Forest Campsite in Barmby Moor offers pitches for caravans, tent and motorhomes in a magical setting. We are nestled on the edge of 22 acres of gorgeous woodland called Allerthorpe Common and only a 15-minute drive to York. We are perfect for people looking to escape the pressures of modern life in this beautiful area of North Yorkshire.
Our wonderful camping and caravan site is a haven for nature lovers. You can catch a fish, climb a tree or find peace and relaxation in the stunning farmland and adjacent woodland. We welcome families, couples, individuals and your four-legged well-behaved friends.
We have hard standing and grass pitches available. Most pitches have a brand-new electric hook up and guests have use of a new toilet and shower block which includes male and female cubicles. A utility and pot washing area is also available.
Our pretty site offers a true home away from home, with lots of scenic open spaces for garden games, leisurely picnics or a good old-fashioned game of rounders. You can enjoy picturesque woodland walks and we have three lakes to stroll around, including one with a few fish for the budding fisherman.
The famous city if York is only a short drive away and has beautiful medieval streets to explore. You can see The Minster, National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, Museum Gardens, City Walls & plenty more. Nearby Beverley has lots of end shops, restaurants and historical sites, including Beverley Minster, famous for its 13th Century stone carvings and stained glass. Further attractions to see include:
