Burns Farm Camping and Caravan Park is located at St Johns in the Vale, near Keswick in the Lake District National Park. Our family run camping and caravanning site has modern facilities in a quiet location that is ideal for those who want to explore Cumbria.
From your pitch, you will get spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of Blencathra, Skiddaw, and Helvellyn. Facilities include:
Grass only pitches.
Campers are allowed to park their cars next to their tents.
Car parking next to your tent on grass pitches.
Very good phone service available throughout the sight with 3G and 4G.
Fire pits for a campfire are allowed, they must have legs as not to burn the grass.
BBQ’s with legs are allowed.
Main centrally heated modern shower, toilet, and washroom block.
Facilities include hand dryers, electrical sockets and shaver points.
Second centrally heated shower, toilet, and washroom block.
Facilities include electric sockets and large drying rail.
Separate centrally heated disabled facilities.
Large separate dishwashing room with 6 sinks under cover.
Laundry room including industrial washer and tumble dryer.
Chemical disposal point.
There is also a holiday cottage on site that can sleep 4/5 people.
We are within easy reach of Sca Fell and the nearby Lakes of Derwentwater, Ullswater and the majestic Lakeland scenery of Bassenthwaite and Braithwaite.
It's just over a mile walk to the nearest eating place in the delightful Village of Threlkeld, and approximately 3 miles to the pretty market Town of Keswick. There are lots of walks from the site and a bus service passing us on a regular daily bases making it ease to get out and about for a long or sort hike!
We are located in the beautiful valley of St. John's-in-the-Vale about 1/2 a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. The site is surrounded by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing in the idyllic setting, 'or' if you are more adventurous, we are ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding, and all the other attractions in the North Lakes.
