Inver Caravan Park

Dunbeath, Caithness

Inver Caravan Park is a small, friendly campsite that is located in Dunbeath, Caithness. The campsite welcomes all caravans, motorhomes, tents and trailer tents along with cars, vans, motorbikes, walkers and cyclists.

There are 7 tent pitches and 10 hard standing pitches; 4 of which are 40 foot long, helpful for big motor homes or caravans & cars which don't want to unhitch for an overnight stop. The pitches are surrounded by trees which offer shelter, there is mains water, recycling facilities and a dump station for the disposal of grey water and chemical toilet disposal. To ensure the campsite stays clean all the roads are tarred and gritted so even in the wet weather they don't get muddy.

The facilities block offers under floor heating, 3 private unisex shower rooms with excellent power showers and automatic hand driers. One is very suitable for disabled visitors. There is a hair drier and shaver points in the hall of the shower area and a separate WC.

The campsite has a separate kitchen/laundry area with a washing machine, a sink for hand washing clothes and an iron and ironing board. For dish washing there is a double sink and drainer, with plenty of work surface to put the dishes on.

We also have Wi-Fi for those who cannot be off-line for long. You can browse the internet or catch up on your emails from the comfort of your motor home or caravan!

We now have 3 large, comfortable bedrooms for B&B, all en suite, all with TV (Freeview), so if you need some pampering instead of a chilly tent, it's easy to arrange. We are delighted to have been awarded a 4* Bed and Breakfast grading by Visit Scotland, and a Category 1 'Unassisted Wheelchair Use' accessibility award.

The caravan park is a few minutes walk from the Spar shop, and from the Bay Owl Restaurant /pub. The local beach, children's play park and tennis court are also nearby, as are the excellent Dunbeath Heritage Centre and the Laidhay Croft Museum and Tearoom. Within easy reach are lovely walks up the Dunbeath Strath and also a good vantage point from which to view puffins.
