The Wee Round House at Croft Lochyside is situated at the foot of Ben Nevis on the shores of Loch Linnhe in Caol. Our superb accommodation is just a short drive from Fort William, it's a great base for exploring Inverness-shire and the rest of the Scottish Highlands.
The pod consists of 2 bunk beds. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bag, pillows, duvet and bed linen.
Our round pod is well equipped with a gas cooker, sink, and wood burning stove. Firewood for the wood burner is supplied and so is the gas for the cooker. Electricity is from a leisure battery that is charged up from a solar panel.
The house has access to its own composting toilet.
The unique little house on site is perfect for glamping guests who like the outdoors but enjoy the comfort of cosy accommodation. There is an outdoor fire and seating area where you can make toast over the fire or have a barbecue.
There is lots to do nearby and with the local knowledge of Donald and Nicky, who are keen walkers and canoeists, you could get the most out of the area and enjoy walking, canoeing, fishing, skiing, cycling and diving. There is a lovely walk through Donald's croft to the shore front of Loch Linnhe. You can walk all the way to Corpach along the shore, or if the tide is out, walk out to the island and back along the river at the estuary.
We also sell the round houses please enquire for details.
