North Alves Holiday Park is a family friendly camping and caravanning park that can be found in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands, outside of Alves near Elgin in Moray. We are in a wonderful location for a relaxing break away and as a base or stop off point for those who are exploring the Scottish Highlands.
We have a limited number of pitches available for touring caravans with the electric hook-ups available. We also have an extensive acreage for tents. Our on site facilities and amenity blocks are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and that we have included every thing you may need during your stay. Our showers are free of charge (included in fee) and you will not require any keys or codes for access to these.
For those who enjoy camping while still being able to have the added luxuries, we also have a glamping bell tent available that can sleep up to 4 guests. Our bell tent is set in its own secluded spot in our woodland area, adjacent to our wildlife pond/area and overlooking our animal paddocks. Outside you will find your own personal decking area, with outdoor seating and a firepit, which could double up as BBQ. Ideal for just sitting round relaxing or toasting marshmallows. The first basket of logs/bag of charcoal are supplied free of charge. If you require anymore during your stay we can supply extra at an additional charge.
Set within the grounds of a once working 19th Century farm, North Alves still has plenty of animals for guests to come and meet. Why not make a visit to our open animal viewing paddock as a part of you and the kids stay here with us. You could even pop on your wellies and come help us find and collect the freshly laid eggs from our free range chickens. If you like maybe even help to feed our chickens, Larry and Domino our 2 pet lambs, Snap Crackle and Pop, our 3 adorable pigs, Josh, Jerry & Jack our 3 alpacas and of course our 6 pet sheep. Any children who would like to take part in feeding times are welcome to, however they must have an adult present.
The campsite itself sits on the outskirts of the small rural village of Alves, situated on the main A96 trunk road that runs between Inverness and Aberdeen. Alves is located between the beautiful market town of Forres (6 miles to the west) and the lovely City of Elgin (5 miles to the east) both of which boast leisure centres, swimming pools and parks to name but a few activities. The small harbour villages of Hopeman and Burghead, both with scenic beaches and lots of local shops are located only a short car drive away from the campsite itself.
