The Barn Hostel & Campsite can be found at the edge of Pierowall village on Westray, Orkney. The campsite welcomes tents, caravans and motor homes. We also have some hard standing areas for larger motor homes and our hostel was once a farm building and now offers comfortable and cosy hostel accommodation that is ideal for groups of friends and families who are sharing a holiday.
One of the most favourite features of The Barn is the spacious lounge area sometimes called “the laft”. It is situated on the upper floor and overlooks Pierowall Bay. In fact every room in The Barn has a superb sea view. There is a very spacious lounge with TV/DVD and a fully equipped kitchen

Westray is known locally as the Queen o’ the Isles. It has lots to offer and is well worth a visit. The beaches and coastline are well worth a wander not forgetting Noup Head cliffs and bird reserve, Noltland Castle and the Castle O'Brien where puffins are in plentiful supply during the season. Westray boasts one of Europe’s largest bird colonies at Noup Head. There are terns, fulmars, kittiwakes, guillemots and puffins nesting from mid-April to early August. It is an amazing site to watch the puffins at sunset at the Castle o’ Burrian.
