Welsummer Camping is a family run campsite offering facilities for campers and glampers. It is tucked away within the rural village of Harrietsham, which is the middle of the beautiful Kent countryside. This is the ideal base for visiting the nearby town of Maidstone and all the other sites Kent has to offer.
The camping pitches all have a fire pit or fire bowl. There are 3 types of pitches available - small meadow, small woodland or a large meadow.
For glamping, there are canvas tents or Wendy's House. There is a family bell tent, mini bell tent and Touareg tent. The largest can accommodate 6 people. Inside you will find a selection of cosy beds, blankets and rugs plus an equipment box filled with dining and cooking gear. Wendy's House is made out of wood. It includes a double bed, sofa bed and dining basics. Outside is a campfire area and a hammock.
Onsite there are bathrooms and a washing up area. There is even a shop.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy whilst staying at the campsite including walking and cycling. Alternatively, visit Maidstone which has shops, places to eat and attractions including Leeds Castle.
Welsummer Camping is also close to Bodiam Castle, Cranbrook Windmill, Tenterden Railway and Whitstable Beach.
