Summerhill Yurts offer eco friendly holidays based on a working organic farm in Exeter, Devon. We offer camping with a difference and our Mongolian Yurts provide a hassle free alternative to staying in the great outdoors.
Our yurts are genuine Mongolian yurts that will sleep 4 to 6 people and furnished to give a cosy, rustic feel with comfortable beds, rugs, cushions, chairs and storage and are traditionally built to withstand the elements. A double door gives access to the outside world and beautiful surrounding countryside of Summerhill. The central wood burning stove helps keep the yurt warm and snug and each yurt is positioned in its own secluded spot with plenty of space and privacy and has its own outdoor seating area with barbeque facilities.
Our small farm is tucked away, providing a quiet haven with stunning views by day and star gazing at night. Close to the yurts, we have the barn that provides all the necessary facilities to make your stay as comfortable such hot water with toilet & showers, fully equipped kitchen, snug room with a wood burner, sofas and chairs, games room and each yurt is allocated its own fridge and food storage box. We can also provide hampers for campers with includes a selection of organic food and drink waiting for you on arrival.
Grab a stick and roam free and explore the farm. Follow the farm trail down to the river, along the old drovers road and discover the farm's wildlife, an abundance of wild flowers, grand old oak trees, butterflies and birds. There are plenty of quiet spots ideal for a picnic or just to take a breather in the long grass. Meet the cows and their calves, sheep and other animals on the farm. If you want to get involved you can help collect the eggs or herd the geese. There is always something going on.
