Rowlands Wait Touring Park is an 8 and a half acre, multi award winning site located in the Dorset village of Bere Regis, close to Wareham. This is a peaceful and secluded site providing facilities for tourers, campers and glampers.
The park has a lot of character and the emphasis is on a very natural look with fine mature trees, mown grass and thick hedgerows. The pitches are best described as grassy and level to gently sloping. Some in shade and some open. Some with lovely views and some which are secluded.
There are 48 electric hook up points. The fields at the lower end of the park are for camping and group rallies. BBQ's are allowed so long as they are kept off the grass (so it doesn't get scorched) but open fires are not permitted. There is plenty of room for children to run and cycle around without disturbing anyone.
The touring park also has en suite canvas cottages which have wood burning stove, kitchenette, private deck and gas BBQ.
The clean modern amenity building has hot showers which are included in the price, wash hand basins, hairdryers, razor points, plus a Launderette with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing and and wash facilities. Large covered washing up area with recycling point. Covered games room with table tennis, pool table, waste water & chemical disposal point. The children’s play area with swing and mini assault course is ideal for younger children.
The areas surrounding the site are full with wildlife. The nearby town of Wareham has lots of history and is the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck. There are many attractions close to the touring park that are suitable for all ages.
