Melbury Vale Farm can be found in the beautiful Dorset village of Melbury Abbas near Shaftesbury. Our camping and caravanning site is surrounding by rolling hills and local wildlife, making it an ideal place to base yourself if you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
There are two outdoor toilets on the campsite with sinks and running water, two showers and miles upon miles of public footpaths and bridleways to explore. There is plenty of space and privacy to camp which people say makes us unique. You have complete privacy, peace and quiet with amazing views.
Our vision at Melbury Vale is to continue to develop our multi-functional farm and home in the county. We aim to promote the outdoor activities we have to offer, as well as our Alpaca livestock, developing breeding stock and continue to show our animals. There is also archery and paintballing available on site and a mountain bike trail, wine shop, holiday let and Christmas tree plantation.
We have ancient woodland including oak, ash, beech and bluebells on rolling hills and views over the farm. There are willow shelters to sit in and admire the views - winding ways and paths through new woodland around the ancient woodland. There is plenty of wildlife here including badgers, rabbits, foxes and wild deer.
We offer a minimum stay of 2 nights for tent at £10 per pitch per night. There are up to approximately 20 pitches on site. Caravans are also welcome at £20 per night. There is a disposal unit for waste (from the caravan toilet).
Please note our campsite is for group bookings.
