Description

Home Farm is a small family-run campsite with views over beautiful countryside. We are a good centre for touring and walking, situated on the edge of a stone and thatched built village in a conservation area. There is a pub in the village which serves meals and has a family room and garden. Our site is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and nearby is the Jurassic Coast which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Our charming family-run site is great for an idyllic break in the country. We accept tents, caravans, motor homes, camper vans, dive boats with trailers and other small boats. In total, with 42 Grass Pitches including 22 with Electric hook up and 2 hard standing pitches. We accept DOE groups, small dive groups, walking groups and cyclists. Onsite facilities include:

Toilets.
Showers.
Wash Basins.
Razors points.
Hair Dryers.
Hand Dryers.
Washing up sinks.
Ice pack facilities.
Bottle Gas exchange.
Chemical disposal point.
Parking by your pitch.

We are about one and a quarter miles from the Heritage Coast and South West Coastal Path. Our nearest beach is at West Bexington where there is good fishing. Nearby is Abbotsbury with its world-famous Swannery, subtropical gardens and children’s farm plus the beach. The old Roman town of Dorchester has the County Museum, old Crown Court and cells, Maumbury Rings and Maiden Castle a large Iron Age fort. Thomas Hardy’s houses at Stinsford and Dorchester are open to the public. Weymouth has a long sandy beach with safe swimming and plenty of attractions.

The small harbour and Golf Course at West Bay are easily accessible. Fossils can be found on the beach at Charmouth and there is also a fossil centre and café. Fossil walks can be arranged at the centre. Lyme Regis has its famous Cobb Harbour, a restored Water Mill and a Museum which has a large collection of Fossil's collected by Mary Anning the first fossil collector. There are also Abbeys, Castles, Museums, historic houses and beautiful gardens to visit in Dorset.
