Doverhay Farm is stated in the heart of the beautiful Exmoor National Park just outside the historic Somerset village of Porlock and just a short drive from the coastal town of Minehead.
Our shepherds hut is situated in a small orchard adjacent to the farmhouse, offering peace and privacy and view up towards the moor. The accommodation consists of a double bed, table & chairs, your own wood burning stove together with an en suite shower room with a state of the art eco loo. All prices include bed linen, towels, fuel for the wood burning stove, a full English or continental breakfast and we can accommodate special dietary requirements and even the odd tent for children and well behaved dog.
We also have studio family barn converted from a detached former barn; it is approached up a few stone steps from a small garden. It is ideal accommodation for a couple who like a lot of space (approximately 39’ X 19’ ) or equally a family with 2/3 children. The Studio is adjacent to the farmhouse and enjoys the luxury of its own small private garden and a patio to the rear.
Breakfast is served in the Farmhouse dinning room and there is a choice between a full English breakfast and Continental with croissant and coffee etc. Barbeques are available at no extra cost and by arrangement evening meals can be provided.
Doverhay Farm is only a 5 minute walk from the moor, 3 minutes from the village and a 5 minute drive from the sea. The farm is ideally positioned for those wishing to follow the Coleridge Way, the South West Coastal Path, or walk some of the 1200 of kilometres of public paths and bridle ways that criss-cross Exmoor. Fly fishing and sea fishing are available on the wear.
