Kite Hill Yurts offer luxurious yurts situated just outside of Gwenddwr near Builth Wells in Powys. Our traditional felt lined yurts can sleep up to 5 people each.
Our yurts each have a double bed, day bed with pull out trundle and folding guest bed set up as required, comfy armchairs for relaxing and enjoying the warmth of the wood burning stoves while bathed in the glow of tea lights.
Outside each yurt has its own deck with a picnic table and barbecue from which you can enjoy stunning views towards the Black Mountains. Each yurt also has its own compost loo close by and its own camp kitchen.
Both of the yurts are about 50 metres from the washing up and shower facilities and are situated about 50 metres apart from one another. The yurts are situated about 200 metres uphill from the parking area. We can transport your luggage to and from your yurt for you.
Curlew Yurt has a lovely warm wooden design giving it a calm, relaxed feel. It is situated on the far side of the yurt field, oriented to give maximum privacy with views towards the Black Mountains and Gwenddwr Hills from the deck and camp kitchen.
Skylark Yurt has colourful patterns give a feeling of vibrancy to this yurt. From the deck and camp kitchen there are views towards the Black Mountains and Twyn y Garth.
Kite Hill Yurts is situated in one of the few areas in the UK where you can see the Milky Way. So you can while away the night time hours stargazing.
Our Yurts are situated a stones throw from the Wye Valley Walk , just one of many footpaths in the area. You can strike out onto the adjoining 5000 acres moorland, to Pant y Llyn (Valley Lake).
