There are electric hook-ups available for around 9 pitches. The site is mainly used by small tents campers and is a good base for walking or climbing in the area. The site is next to the local railway line, so there may be some noise.

The CL is only 5 van but each pitch is a super pitch with fresh drinking water, grey water disposal and individual electric hook ups. We provide hard standing, well spaced pitches along with an easy accessible road with some discreet dusk to dawn lighting. We now also have shower, WC facilities and chemical disposal point.

Shaws Trailers Park

At this holiday park facilities include electric hook-ups and hard standings and the site is on a slope so levelling blocks may be needed and the toilets are basic but functional and clean.
This caravan park is situated close to the road and amenities. The nearest supermarket is about 150m away and there's a bus stop close to the site entrance. As it's directly on Knaresborough Road it's a handy stopover site for Harrogate.
Lower Lacon Caravan Park

Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive’s paternal grandfather. When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). In 1971 Clive’s parents bought the ground back and decided to develop a caravan site.
