Set in the heart of the beautiful New Forest, The Red Shoot Camping Park is the ideal destination for a family-friendly camping, glamping, or self-catering holiday. With over 50 years of experience dedicated to welcoming families, the park offers a perfect balance of outdoor adventure and modern comfort. Surrounded by unspoiled nature and located just behind the charming Red Shoot Inn, it provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The park caters specifically to families and couples, maintaining a quiet, relaxed environment by not accepting stag or hen parties or large group bookings.
At our camping park we welcome tents, caravans, motorhomes and campervans and can offer a choice of both electric and non-electric grass pitches. Our facilities include an onsite shop and bakery, an EV charging facility, children’s play area, laundry room, under floor heated showers/toilets and family and accessible bathrooms, which are all maintained to a high standard ensuring your holiday at the Red Shoot Camping Park is as comfortable and stress free as possible.
As well as offering camping and caravanning facilities, there is also a self catering holiday home available called The Byre. Often referred to as a ‘little gem’ by previous guests, this self catering holiday home is ideal for those of us who like our luxuries and aren’t keen on camping but may still want to enjoy quality time with their ‘camping mad’ family and friends!
You can also choose to stay in one of our river keeper's huts, The Bothy and The Drey. River keeper’s huts have long been part of the traditional English countryside and offer a unique glamping experience with all the charm of the past and the comfort of the present. Built on cast iron wheels with a Douglas Fir chassis and warm pine interiors, each fully insulated hut sleeps two adults in a 4’6” double bed and up to two children (under 10) in a cosy mezzanine bed. Inside, you'll find storage, heating, reading lights, a dining area with bench seating and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and basic cooking essentials. Outside, enjoy your own gravel parking space and covered patio with seating; while BBQs aren’t provided, you're welcome to bring your own, with tools supplied.
