Situated in the tranquil heart of rural Somerset, The Den & Orchard offers a perfect retreat for both outdoor enthusiasts and those who prefer the indoors. Located a short distance from Longleat in Wiltshire, our holiday accommodation and campsite serve as an ideal base for exploring the charming town of Frome and its surroundings.
Camping: Our spacious pitches can accommodate either one large or two small tents. The Orchard Campsite is open from the start of the Easter holidays to the end of September, weather permitting. Each pitch includes access to facilities such as toilets, hot showers, washing stations and a fridge-freezer. Complimentary parking is available and guests are welcome to use chimeneas and fire pits for campfires. We have BBQ's and fire pits onsite to use. All of the pitches have electrical and water hook ups. We are open until the end of October for camping. Max 6 people to a pitch. Families only please, no big groups.
Camping Lodges: We offer two superb camping lodges, each capable of sleeping six guests. These lodges feature French doors that lead to a covered seating area overlooking the campsite. Designed with a rustic charm, the lodges come equipped with a double bed, bunk beds, a sofa bed, a well-appointed kitchenette, TV, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, tea and coffee facilities, BBQ and a camping hob. Guests need only bring their own bedding and towels. Toilet and shower facilities are conveniently located nearby.
The Crabby Apple: Our charming Shepherd’s Hut, The Crabby Apple, accommodates two adults and one child. It features a double bed, a fold-away single bed and tea making facilities, with easy access to the site's toilets, showers, washing facilities and a fridge-freezer.
The Lair: A luxury pod named The Lair offers a modern, self-contained living space perfect for a family of five. It includes under-floor heating, a kitchenette with microwave and hob and a living-dining area for your comfort.
The Burrow: The Burrow is another modern, self-contained luxury pod set up for a family of four but can sleep up to five using a pull-out sofa bed. Like The Lair, it is equipped with under-floor heating and has a kitchenette with hob and microwave and a dining area.
The Hollow: Lastly, The Hollow is a contemporary, self-contained luxury hideaway ideal for a family of four, also capable of sleeping five with a pull-out sofa bed. It has similar amenities to The Lair and The Burrow, the kitchen has a convection oven, hob and microwave, plus there is a cosy and convenient dining area.
There is also a modern two bedroom self catering apartment available called The Den.
These all offer a unique way to experience the peaceful Somerset countryside, whether you're looking for a simple camping experience or a luxurious pod stay.
