Market Rasen Racecourse Caravan Park is situated at the historic Market Rasen Racecourse, offering a unique opportunity to stay onsite and enjoy thrilling horse racing and other events right on your doorstep. Beyond the racecourse, the park provides an ideal base for exploring the picturesque countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
We welcome motorhomes, caravans, and tents to our site, with 5th wheels accepted by prior arrangement.
The site features 53 touring pitches, 51 of which include electric hook-ups. Guests will appreciate our heated toilet and shower block, a laundry room and accessible facilities. Well-behaved dogs are welcome and children will love the play area designed to keep them entertained. For convenience, we provide grey waste disposal only.
Please be aware that due to health and safety restrictions on race days, the shower and toilet facilities will be unavailable from 2.5 hours before the first race (race times vary by fixture) until approximately one hour after the last race. Vehicle movement is also restricted during this period to ensure the safety of all guests.
All Caravan Park facilities, including the toilets, showers and onsite shop, are open during normal hours. However, the shop will be closed when the warden is absent from the site. We strive to provide a welcoming and accommodating environment for all visitors.
Market Rasen itself is a charming, bustling market town situated on the River Rase, on the western edge of the Wolds. The town hosts regular markets where visitors can shop for local produce and gifts. It is well-equipped with amenities, including two supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies and more, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers an abundance of walks, cycle paths and country lanes to explore the unspoiled countryside. Willingham Woods is a wonderful starting point, featuring a variety of woodland walks and trails. For a more relaxed experience, Market Rasen boasts numerous pubs, cafes, and restaurants where visitors can unwind. Just a short distance away lies the village of Tealby, often referred to as "the prettiest village in Lincolnshire." Here you’ll find the historic King's Head, the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire, dating back to 1367.
Located only 17 miles from the historic city of Lincoln, the Caravan Park is perfectly positioned for day trips to this iconic destination. Highlights in Lincoln include the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, once one of the tallest buildings in the world, and Lincoln Castle, which dates back to 1068. After exploring these historic landmarks, take a leisurely walk down Britain’s Best Street, Steep Hill, where you’ll discover an array of specialty, retro and vintage stores, alongside quirky tea shops and traditional pubs.
We are one hour from the coast.
