Oxford Riverside Glamping provides an opportunity for a truly rural getaway yet only 4 miles from the city of Oxford. Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away or a base for exploration, Oxford Riverside Glamping is the ideal destination for a relaxing break.
We have 10 glamping units available. Each bell tent sleeps up to 4 people, with a central double bed and two easily-erected single camp beds. The main double bed will be dressed for your arrival, but you will need to bring your own bedding for the single camp beds should you wish to use them.
Other facilities include:
Candle chandelier as well as other electric lighting.
Cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and other cooking utensils.
Coolbox and jerry can.
4 Water bottles.
Charging facilities for phones and other devices in each tent.
Outside each bell tent is a seating area and a fire pit. You are provided with a basket of kindling, logs and charcoal on arrival, more of which is available on site should you require it. This is a perfect place to relax at any time of the day and can be used for all your cooking needs.
Just a short walk from each tent, there are ladies and gents toilet and shower facilities, as well as an external wash-up area. There is also a covered cooking area with three gas-powered ovens, three communal fridges, a microwave and toaster, as well as a covered dining area.
With stunning countryside to enjoy, we are located directly on the Thames Path, with beautiful riverside walks, fishing in season and birdwatching. Opposite lies Wytham Woods, an area of ancient woodland as well as a site of special scientific interest.
Outside the main gate is a direct and frequent bus route to the centre of Oxford, the ‘city of dreaming spires’. The world-famous university is only 10-15 minutes away. Within walking distance is Farmoor Reservoir, which boasts year-round sailing and windsurfing as well as a wealth of wildlife to enjoy. Day passes are also available for trout fishing. Attractions nearby also include Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon and Bicester Village. London, Bath and Stonehenge are also within easy travelling distance. There are several pubs, restaurants and local shopping all within walking distance of the house.
