Description

Derwent View Glamping in Edmundbyers is nestled on the south shore of the Derwent Reservoir and offers fantastic glamping accommodation and pitches for tourers and motorhomes. Based near Consentt in Durham, we are surrounded by stunning countryside and located opposite the sailing club.

Our gorgeous site offers a truly breathtaking setting for an unforgettable holiday. We have 8 magical glamping pods to choose from. These meticulously handcrafted wooden pods are of the highest quality and boast wonderful views of the reservoir.

All the pods come with a range of facilities to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. The pods include a fridge, toaster, kettle, fold out beds, fold table and chairs, lighting and electrical sockets. Outside each pod is a decking area and private fire pit, ideal for a bit of al fresco dining whilst staying warm and toasty.

We also have larger pods available which include a microwave, outside tap and TV/DVD player. For that added bit of luxury you can stay in our vintage style Shabby Sheep pod or family pod, Decs Den, both of which come with a wood burning hot tub.

Eight touring/motorhome pitches are available, all of which enjoy glorious countryside views.

All of our guests have use of our well-maintained heated shower block which includes wet rooms, a washroom block and disabled toilet. A laundry room and outside washing up facilities are also available. You can savour a few tasty treats at the Boat Shack whilst admiring spectacular views of the Derwent Reservoir.

While staying with us you can make the most of the Derwent Reservoir which is 3.5 miles long and is perfect for windsurfing and sailing. Great attractions to visit in the area include:

Go Ape.
Killhope Mining.
Raby Castle.
High Force.
Durham Cathedral.
