Description

Langley Dam Glamping offers outstanding glamping accommodation in Langley-on-Tyne near Hexham. Situated on the bank of Langley Dam Reservoir in Northumberland, we are ideal for a tranquil and idyllic break away.

The glamping site is on our beef and sheep farm and boasts gorgeous views of the countryside and water. Our wonderful cabins are reminiscent of upturned fishing boats. Each cabin is beautifully furnished and comes with a range of high quality facilities.

Blackcleugh: This stunning cabin enjoys glorious views of the fishing lake and sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child under 12 years old. The king size bed has a luxurious mattress and the sleeping area can be curtained off from the living space. The en suite shower room comes with a flushing WC and shower. A king size sofa bed is also available. The kitchenette is fully equipped and comes with a drop leaf table and folding chairs. Facilities include a 28’’ Smart TV with a DVD player. Outside there is decking which leads to a gravelled area with seating and a firepit/BBQ. A lovely place to relax in the evening whilst the stars are shining.

Humbleton: Our wonderful cabin caters for people with mobility needs. The path from the car park is concrete, making it wheelchair friendly. The door is wide enough for wheelchair users and the en suite wet room is larger than our other cabins and has a wheelchair accessible doorway and grab rails. There are two single beds and a king size sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can dine on the drop leaf table. We also have a 28” smart TV with a DVD player. The decked area leads onto a gravel firepit/BBQ area to the side of the cabin where seating is available.

Wheatley’s: This charming cabin has a lovely decking area which leads down to a gravelled area to the side. From here you admire views over the lake toward Bristol Lodge, the former home of the author Catherine Cookson. The gravelled area has seating and a firepit/BBQ. The cabin sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child under 12 in a king size bed and a children’s drop down bunk over the bed. The cabin has en suite facilities. A king size sofa bed is also available. The fully equipped kitchen also has a drop leaf table with folding chairs. A 28’’ Smart TV comes with a DVD player.

The Wonneys: Our beautiful cabin enjoys breathtaking views of the fishing lake and Whitfield Moor. Like all our cabins, this one also has an en suite shower room and flushing WC. The king size room comes with en suite facilities. A full equipped kitchen will suit all your needs and there is a drop leaf table with folding chairs. We have also installed a 28” smart TV with a DVD player. Outside the private decking area leads to a gravelled area with a firepit and BBQ. You can sit back, relax and admire the glorious view. Pets are not allowed in The Wonneys cabin at any time to cater for our allergy suffering guests.

We also have a children’s play area which comes with a cargo net, slide, balance beams, small boat and a raised boat platform.

Rowing boats can be hired for fishing purposes.
