The Fieldhouse & Spa
With its own private spa, the Fieldhouse is a haven for mind and soul, inviting guests to unwind in the wood-heated sauna while listening to the soothing crackle of burning wood, followed by the invigorating thrill of a cold dunk bucket. In the warmer months, you can rinse off in the outdoor shower before sinking into the wood-fired hot tub for complete relaxation. Step inside through the French doors to an open-plan living area, where reclaimed timber, antique Victorian furniture and earthy tones create a warm and intimate retreat for two. In one corner, a handcrafted wooden bed hides drawers filled with books and games, while on the opposite side, a wood-burning stove offers a cosy atmosphere for chilly evenings. A small kitchen area includes a hob and microwave combination oven, perfect for a quiet night in. The bathroom features a double-ended slipper bath, positioned so you can enjoy sweeping views across the wild flower meadow as you soak.
The Treehouse
The Treehouse has been thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. An unconventional tree-turned-coat rack, an abundance of plants and soft lighting give the space its unique charm, while underfloor heating, a Chesterfield sofa and a Bose speaker bring a touch of luxury. Rustic wooden features crafted from recycled farm materials add warmth and character throughout. The bedroom is centred around a large bespoke wooden bed, where, with the press of a button, an electric Velux blind opens to reveal the woodland canopy above, offering the perfect way to wake up slowly, immersed in nature and whatever the weather, the wood-fired hot tub is the perfect place to unwind.
Saddler's Cabin
Set in an open grassy clearing and sheltered by tall evergreens, Saddler's Cabin is the epitome of rural charm, radiating rustic country character in every detail. Lazy mornings can be spent sipping coffee from the hammock, while evenings are best enjoyed soaking in the wood-fired hot tub, where time seems to slip by unnoticed. A private seating area with a fire pit adds to the relaxed outdoor vibe. Step inside through a stable door and you'll find a sumptuous leather sofa facing a cosy wood-burning stove, all resting on an Aztec-style weave rug. The kitchen features beautifully crafted units made from reclaimed wood and the walls are lined with torched timber, adding warmth and texture. In the bedroom, a chunky four-poster bed adorned with trailing greenery and vintage lightbulbs creates an inviting retreat.
Crofter's Cabin
Encased in hazel wood picket fencing, Crofter’s Cabin offers a peaceful retreat where you can relax with your four-legged friend. Whether you're soaking in the wood-fired hot tub or napping on the veranda, you can do so with ease. At the centre of the garden, an old horse chestnut tree stands proudly. Inspired by both farming heritage and artistic flair, this is far from your typical log cabin. A statement leather chair anchors the living area, where industrial touches blend seamlessly with rustic charm. The kitchen units and sections of the walls are beautifully crafted from reclaimed wood and a wood-burning stove ensures warmth on chilly evenings. In the bedroom, Voyage fabric adds character to the space, where a chunky wooden bed stands as a striking and inviting centrepiece.
Visiting the Area
The coastline of Northumberland, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stretches across forty miles of unspoilt beaches and is home to the remarkable coastal castles of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth, all less than a thirty-minute drive from Woodland Chase. For those drawn to the tranquillity of inland scenery, the idyllic landscapes of the Simonside Hills, Cheviot Hills and Thrunton Woods offer a range of walking and hiking routes to suit all abilities, from gentle Sunday strolls to more challenging treks, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy. There is also a clay pigeon shooting ground nearby.
