Set in 30 acres of stunning grounds and gardens, Blaithwaite House has 66 pitches with superb views of the surrounding Cumbrian countryside and Solway firth. Our onsite facilities include: toilets and showers ( in the old piggery!)with abundant hot water due to our fantastic biomass sustainable wood chip boilers, fresh water and waste disposal points, kitchen facilities, and newly installed for this season 12 elec hook up points. Ideal for families or group gatherings we have a great play park, football and volley ball grass pitches, crazy golf and chime putting. There are acres of woodland to enjoy and estate walks and an abundance of nature with red squirrels and a multitude of bird life in residence here too.
Our extensive grounds are free to explore and appreciate, from the ornate summer house on the island on the pond , to the beautiful rose garden, sunny south facing terrace garden, conservatory and formal front lawn and gardens too.
We offer various accommodation with the whole site capable of sleeping 110 guests, in three buildings. Our youth building Ellrigg sleeps 52 in 2 dorms , the flexi occupancy stables building sleeps 20 and the main house filled with period features sleeps 40. All our accommodation is self-catering and has everything you would expect for a comfortable stay.
