Sleat View Pod offers luxury glamping accommodation for up to two people, providing everything you need for a perfect escape along the Road to the Isles. Located just outside the popular village of Arisaig, the pod sits beside the West Highland train line and overlooks the peaceful countryside of Kinloid, with views stretching towards the Sleat Peninsula on Skye, the Small Isles and even Loch Morar.
This custom-built 3.3 x 6 metre glamping pod features an ensuite bathroom at the rear, complete with a walk-in shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. Some toiletries and a hairdryer are also provided. Underfloor heating in the main living space keeps the pod warm and cosy throughout the year. The fully integrated Elthin kitchen includes a combi-microwave, two-ring ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, plates, cutlery, glasses and basic supplies such as dishwashing essentials, tea and coffee. A spacious breakfast bar with two bar stools makes for a comfortable dining area.
The lounge space is fitted with a small sofa and TV, and WiFi is available for your convenience. The pod also features an extremely comfortable built-in king-size bed with towels and linen provided. Outside, there is a private decking area with a table and chairs, as well as an access ramp next to your own parking space. Check-in is from 3pm and checkout by 10am, although this can be flexible upon request. Entry is via a key safe, with the access code emailed to you prior to arrival.
Set in the quiet, rural grounds next to our new-build home in Kinloid, the pod is ideally placed for those seeking both seclusion and convenience. While you’ll have full privacy to enjoy your stay, we are nearby and happy to help if needed. Just a few minutes’ drive along the coastal road leads to stunning white sandy beaches perfect for exploring.
The village of Arisaig is within walking distance and offers a welcoming pub, restaurants, café, a Spar shop, a gift shop, and boat trips from the local marina. Around ten minutes away by car is the larger town of Mallaig, where you’ll find a Co-op, post office, bakery, takeaways, restaurants, community hub, and ferry services to the islands, along with boat tours to Knoydart.
The pod is located right beside the West Highland train line, giving guests a chance to glimpse the famous Jacobite steam train, known for its appearance in the Harry Potter films. Fortunately, it’s a quiet line with only a few trains each day. In addition to the sea views across to Sleat Point on Skye, guests often spot local wildlife from the decking, including deer and even an eagle that occasionally visits the garden.
