Culdees Castle Glamping offers luxury accommodation in Muthill. Based in a tranquil setting near Crieff, we are perfect for a rural romantic retreat in Perthshire.
Our 4 luxury cabins are homely and authentic, seamlessly blending into the natural environment. The cabins are based within the grounds of Culdees Castle, designed for Lieutenant General James Drummond by acclaimed Scottish architect James Gillespie Graham in 1810. The castle is currently undergoing a long renovation project to restore the whole castle.
Drummond Lodge enjoys views over the flower meadow and grazing fields, whilst Spiers Lodge offers views of Historic Culdees Castle. Majors Lodge is nestled within the woodland and Horton Lodge offers views across the flower meadow.
All the cabins are finished to a high standard and are accessed by private pathways. They all come with a comfy bed, seating and kitchen area. Outside each cabin, there is a hot tub to soak yourself in. The lodges also have seating and BBQ for al fresco dining. In the evening, huddle around the fire pit whilst gazing at the starry night sky.
Onsite we also have 4 motorhome pitches. The pitches do not have facilities meaning they will need to be self-contained including private toilets and washing facilities.
The local area has lots of stunning countryside to enjoy, including lots of gorgeous walking and cycling routes. You can also visit the Scottish market town of Crieff, home to a bustling town centre with shops, cafes and restaurants. Great attractions to visit include:
Drummond Castle Gardens.
Auchingarrich Wildlife Park.
Stirling Castle.
Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park.
The Glenturret Distillery.
