Hopgarden Glamping & Camping

Cousley Wood, Wadhurst, East Sussex

Onsite

Description

Hopgarden Glamping and Camping is a true hidden gem, perfect for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you opt for the luxury of a fully equipped glamping experience or prefer the simplicity of pitching your own tent, the site caters to all preferences. With spacious camping pitches available on a beautiful five-acre field, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.

Situated on the picturesque Kent and Sussex border, the glamping site spans approximately three acres of private, secure and open space. It provides an ideal setting for bike riding groups, ramblers and social gatherings. The accommodation is thoughtfully designed, featuring three fully furnished luxury Shepherd huts and four large luxury Bell tents.

Shepherd's Huts
The shepherd huts offer a clean, cosy, and stylish glamping experience with everything you need. Each hut has a double bed, seating, storage, tea and coffee facilities, and a Smart TV/DVD with Wi-Fi access for streaming. A wood-style electric stove keeps you warm and USB sockets and a Bluetooth radio add extra comfort. Outside, enjoy a private patio with loungers, a gas BBQ, bistro seating and a fire pit, perfect for relaxing or dining al fresco. Firewood is available to add when booking. Guests share a fully equipped kitchen hut and modern shower/toilet facilities, including power showers, fluffy towels, toiletries and even spare essentials. Everything is designed for a peaceful, hassle-free retreat.

Bell Tents
Our spacious 6m bell tents comfortably sleep up to six guests and come fully furnished with crisp bedding, pillows, duvets, warm fleece throws and hot water bottles for chilly nights. Each tent has electricity, plug-in lamps, a radio and two USB ports for charging devices. Private shower huts with instant hot water and individual toilet units are located just behind the tents - guests need to bring their own towels and toiletries. Each tent has its own outdoor area with dining tables, benches, comfy chairs and a firepit BBQ. Kitchen facilities, housed in converted horse boxes, include hobs, fridges, microwaves, kettles, toasters and a fresh water standpipe. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk portions are provided free of charge.

Camping
The top of the camping field offers stunning, far-reaching views across the Weald of Kent, making this peaceful five-acre pasture a true hidden gem. Spacious pitches provide plenty of room and amenities include a hot water gas shower hut, a clean toilet, a washing-up sink and a fresh water standpipe. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at £5 per night, but must be kept on a lead or tether at all times. You’re free to bring gazebos, puppy pens, or awnings at no extra cost. Fires are only permitted in raised fire pits, no ground fires allowed and fire pits or gas BBQs can be hired on-site. Large gatherings require prior approval. Small campervans welcome, but no motorhomes or touring caravans please.

Exclusive Hire
We also offer exclusive site hire, a popular choice that accommodates up to 30 guests across the Shepherd huts and Bell tents. It's the perfect setting for celebrating special occasions or enjoying a relaxed getaway with family and friends, creating unforgettable memories in a peaceful, private space.
