Boathouse Farm has been a family-run traditional mixed organic farm for over 40 years. Situated in the heart of Sussex and surrounded by scenic country trails and the breathtaking South Downs, it offers an idyllic setting for a peaceful escape. Camping on our farm is one of Sussex’s best-kept secrets. You’re free to pitch your tent wherever you like - whether it’s in fields beside or near the beautiful River Ouse. Spend your days wild swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, or simply relaxing and soaking up the tranquillity of the river and surrounding countryside.
Our site is specifically for tents and small campervans only, the campsite is equipped with flushing toilets, hot showers and washing-up facilities to ensure your stay is comfortable. What makes camping at Boathouse Farm truly special is the generous space available, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out and children of all ages can play freely without the usual crowds. You won’t find yourself camping right next to your neighbour here.
No camping trip is complete without a campfire, so we welcome you to bring your own or hire one of our fire pits. Wrap yourself in a blanket and toast marshmallows under the stars for a truly memorable evening.
A short walk along a footpath brings you to the Anchor Inn, a local favourite known for its delicious food and welcoming indoor and outdoor dining areas. Campers can also enjoy breakfast rolls and coffee served daily. For a perfect summer’s day, hire a rowing boat from the pub and drift down the river. Within walking distance, you’ll also find the Laughing Fish pub in Isfield village and the Isfield Farm Shop for local produce and essentials.
