Heathfield Farm Camping is located on the outskirts of Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. Our camping and caravanning park is a family run site that is surrounded by lots of open countrysides and views out to The Solent. We welcome all of the family including the dogs so please do bring them with you.
The park is open and exceptionally level, offering easy access to 81 generously spaced and marked pitches, 75 of which include electric hook-up. A select number of Premier View pitches provide stunning views across the Solent towards Hurst Castle. Most pitches benefit from the shelter of trees and hedgerows, ensuring a comfortable stay. A wildflower meadow offers plenty of space for dog exercise, while a large separate playing field is perfect for ball games. Two public BBQ areas with picnic tables are available, and guests are welcome to bring their own BBQs for use at their pitch. However, fire pits are not permitted.
The modern amenity buildings have showers, toilets, separate wash cubicles, hairdryers and shaver points. There is a large separate wheelchair accessible shower and toilet room. The laundry room has a coin-operated washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. There is also a clothes washing sink. The adjoining dishwashing area has a wheelchair accessible sink and also a separate food preparation sink.
Our camping park is in a great location in the western part of the island. Over half of the island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and most of the seashore is Heritage Coast. There are over 500 miles of signposted footpaths and cycle tracks around the islands making it a walkers/cyclists paradise. Colwell beach is just a short walk from the camping park and is a safe sandy beach ideal for children. The beach is a great place for sandcastles or exploring rock pools, the nearby beaches of Compton and Brook are ideal for surfing and fossil hunting.
Fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing and other water sports are all available nearby.
