Night Pastures is set in 3000 acres of beautiful countryside and provides glamping & camping located on the outskirts of Fernhurst village. It is within the heart of the South Downs National Park and provides easy access to the city of Chichester.
There are five handcrafted yurts - 2 can sleep 4, 2 can sleep 6 people and 1 yurt is a large yurt for a large family or organised group. Outside they all have a fully equipped kitchen, freshwater and seating. Close to the huts is the bathroom hut which includes a flushing toilet, sinks and walk in shower.
We also offer two bell tents, each set in its own private space away from the yurts and main camping area. Simple yet practical, the bell tents share access to a beautifully designed natural toilet and shower trailer, as well as an outdoor kitchen.
The Hideaway is a beautifully restored vintage caravan named Ivy, tucked away in a secluded corner of the meadow, well apart from the yurts and camping area. Simple yet thoughtfully equipped, Ivy offers a cosy double bed made up with fresh linens, which can be converted into a sofa during wet weather. She comes with her own compost loo, hot shower and outdoor kitchen for a comfortable stay. Outside, you'll find a private fire bowl, table, and chairs, ideal for relaxing evenings and stargazing under the night sky.
We also offer family and adult camping where space and simplicity are key. With limited pitches spread across three distinct areas, including a family-friendly zone, an adults-only section and the option to book an entire field, you’ll enjoy a peaceful, uncrowded experience. Each area is equipped with fresh water, a shared camp kitchen, covered dining space, hot showers and thoughtfully crafted compost toilets. It’s a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature in a setting that embraces the charm of traditional camping. We also offer group camping for larger groups.
Night Pastures also offers an ideal space for relaxing retreats, holistic workshops, or unique events. At its heart is Redwood, a spacious 30ft yurt with a warm, nurturing atmosphere enhanced by fairy lights, perfect for gatherings and reflection. Set in a secluded, heart-shaped field with three handcrafted accommodation yurts and no houses in sight, the site also features a tranquil lake just a short walk away. Whether you're planning a celebration, team-building event, or a personal retreat, Night Pastures provides the natural space to bring your vision to life.
The area surrounding the site is ideal for walking, cycling and wildlife watching. There are also many interesting places to visit such as Cooksbridge Nature Reserve, Temple of Winds, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Chichester Cathedral and Pallant House Gallery.
