Enjoy spectacular sea views in an area of outstanding natural Cornish beauty when you book your seaside escape at Penhale Caravan & Camping Park. This relaxed, family-run campsite is set on a working organic farm just outside Fowey, offering breathtaking vistas across St Austell Bay and the surrounding countryside that inspired many of Daphne Du Maurier’s famous novels. Accommodation includes 12 self-catering static holiday homes, spacious level pitches with electric hook-up, water and Wi-Fi, dedicated tent camping areas with water and Wi-Fi, and well-maintained shower block facilities for campers and tourers.
The camping fields at Penhale Park enjoy sweeping views over gently rolling farmland and St Austell Bay. In summer, swallows dart and dive across the fields, while the hedgerows burst into colour with wildflowers. As night falls, the distant lights of Mevagissey twinkle across the bay, adding to the peaceful charm of the setting.
There are 41 generously sized, level electric pitches, some of which are on hard standing, and each comes with its own water tap. Pitch sizes vary, so we encourage you to call us to discuss what best suits your needs. For those preferring a more traditional experience, we also offer standard camping with plenty of space and no overcrowding, allowing you to truly relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Standard camping pitches offer the choice of two camping fields - one small and one large, where you’re free to select your preferred spot to set up. To ensure comfort and safety for all guests, we simply ask that a minimum distance of six metres is maintained between tents. While standard pitches do not include electric hook-up, both water and free Wi-Fi are included in the price.
Whether you're travelling in a large motorhome or a compact campervan or you have a touring caravan, our serviced pitches offer ample space to spread out and settle in comfortably. Set on flat grass terraces, each pitch includes electric hook-up, a water tap and Wi-Fi, all included in the price. With a generous minimum size of 10 metres by 10 metres, the pitches can accommodate even the largest motorhomes or caravans. If your vehicle or caravan is longer than 10 metres, please contact us in advance to discuss access arrangements.
Our facilities are designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Guests can enjoy free hot showers, wash basins and toilets in our renovated, heated shower block. Hair dryers and electric shaving points are also available. There's a chemical disposal point, as well as a dedicated area for washing dishes with free hot water.
For your laundry needs, we provide a small laundry room equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sinks for hand washing, all with free hot water. An iron and ironing board can be borrowed from reception. We also offer a gas exchange service for Calor and Campingaz.
Basic groceries and local information are available from reception, along with a freezer for storing ice packs free of charge. For a small donation to charity, we offer a battery recharging service for mobile phones, cameras and laptops, just remember to bring your own charger.
