Somerset Garden Yurt & Gypsy Caravan provides outstanding glamping accommodation in our yurt and gypsy caravan. Situated at West Lyng near Taunton in Somerset, we are the perfect retreat for those looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing to stay.
Yurt: Our charming yurt is of circular and timber construction and fully insulated. The handmade yurt has a dome roof, traditional furnishings and lattice walls. This yurt boasts a clear view of the stars from the apex. Our large yurt comfortably sleeps six people in two double beds and 2 bunk beds. It is fully carpeted and furnished with wall art, rugs, scatter cushions, silk throws and painted storage boxes.
Gypsy Caravan: This authentic bow-top gypsy caravan offers luxury and beautiful furnishings throughout. It has been lovingly painted with traditional designs and is decorated with satin and tassels. The small double bed is perfect for those who want to cuddle up and enjoy the spirit of yesteryear.
We also have The Cabin. Inside there is a fully fitted kitchen with a range of superb appliances: pot, pans, crockery, fridge and freezer. Facilities also include a shower room and loo.
Both the yurt and gypsy caravan are in the corner of our wildflower meadow, reached through a wooded glade beside a stream. You can also enjoy relaxing around the fire pit and we provide a BBQ and starter supply of wood, kindling, firelighters and charcoal. We also provide picnic tables, benches and a swinging seat in a willow pyramid. On damp and cold days, you can visit the barn which has a wood burner and chairs to ensure you stay warm and toasty.
There is also an outside wood-fired oven where guests can bake bread, pizzas or anything else. It is undercover with comfortable seating.
When you hire our yurt you automatically hire a gypsy caravan for free for no extra cost. Dogs are welcome by arrangement – please enquire for details.
