Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm

Croeslan, Llandysul, Ceredigion

Nantgwynfaen is an organic working farm that provides facilities for campers, tourers, glampers and motorhomes. Located within the small village of Croeslan it is centrally located for visiting Llandysul, Carmarthen and Cardigan.

There are only 5 camping pitches at Nantgwynfaen. When does a handful of pitches become a campsite? Each unique camping pitch set is in its own private space, there are no sprawling camping fields here. It is a quiet family-friendly site ideal for families and couples who just love the great outdoors. BBQs and campfires are permitted and dogs are welcome. It is a campsite for the discerning camper who likes things nice and simple. There is no electric hook up, but there is free hot water and a flushing toilet.

Sun Of A Pitch (max 4) - Camp on a grassy hilltop with views over a wild meadow and the valley beyond. An ideal place to enjoy a campfire at sunset overlooking a dramatic steep valley with a stream at the bottom which is lined with ancient trees. A place to be in the moment, to watch buzzards gliding along the treetops at eye-level, breathe the fresh air, whilst savouring the view which drops away to the River Teifi and the hills in the distance. A very peaceful pitch, with fantastic views suitable for a medium-size tent or two small tents a long pitch stretching along a sheltered hedge line, which is 4.5m wide with no camping neighbours within view. West-facing to make the most of the evening sunset at its best, and sheltered from the morning sun. Note, there is a steep slope adjacent to the pitch. Located 100m from the toilet and shower block. There is car parking nearby and walks in all directions. Approximate dimensions: 5x15m.

Pitch Perfect (max 4) - Just off a quiet farm track, tucked into the bank on two sides, perfect for enjoying the morning sun, with easy access to the toilets, suitable for a small caravan, small motor home, camper van or small tent with the convenience of parking on a hard standing next to the pitch. Also suitable for a medium-sized tent stretching across the hardstanding and grass. There is a fire bowl and lovely views of the meadow in front, a grassy field to the side and larger trees which are teeming with birds beyond. This pitch is unsuitable for campervans longer than 5m and large caravans as there is a sloped yard on the approach. Please contact us if you would like to discuss other options. There is no electric hook up. Approximate dimensions: 8x7m (50% grass 50% hardstanding).

Hind Site (max 4) - A grass pitch nestled secretly amongst fruit trees behind the games barn, suitable for a larger tent and smaller ones. A short walk to the car park, toilets and games barn. There is a stone circle fire pit, with a gate leading into a dreamy meadow edged with tall trees. A wonderful place to enjoy the campfire and listen to the many birds who are happily busying themselves in the rich habitat. Conveniently located behind the games barn with an outdoor picnic table. Hindsite is tucked away but close to the track leading to the toilet and shower, this is a spacious pitch which won't disappoint. Stop the car very nearby to unpack, then park in the carpark a short walk away. This is a long pitch with bushes and a fire pit in the middle approximate dimensions are 6x10m and 3x3m there is also a fire pit area plus a picnic table on another elevated level.

Love At First Site (max 8) - A very large private and spacious grass pitch surrounded by woodland at the end of a farm track. There is a picnic table and a fire bowl. Accessible by car, unless it is very wet when we have wheelbarrows to do the job. Suitable Ideal for families, small groups of friends and couples who want to be away from it all. A peaceful setting just a 5-minute walk from the facilities. Approximate size is 13mx25m, with a hedge bank on 2 sides and mixed woodland on the other and enclosed with a farm gate. It won't keep all crafty dogs in but would provide a boundary for smaller children. Adjacent to Mid Field - the hay meadow and 2 other fields so very handy for having a stroll and walking the dog when the livestock are elsewhere. Suitable for small caravans, campervans, a large bell tent or several smaller tents. NB there is no electric hook up. It is a large flat irregular shaped area approximate dimensions: 15x15m plus 6x15m.

ConTENTed (max 2) - This is a small grass circular garden pitch suitable for a smaller size tent, surrounded by shrubbery and a hedge with views over the pink geraniums and hydrangeas to the West. Ideal for singles or couples or additional guests staying in the Glamavan and Sun of a Pitch. Approximate pitch dimensions: 7x7m.
