Valley Yurts is in Kington on the border of Herefordshire and Powys and offers wonderful glamping accommodation in 10 acres of wild Welsh countryside. We are the perfect place to escape to from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Our superb yurts are perfect for a relaxing and tranquil holiday away. The yurts have been crafted from sustainable ash, hand made in Totnes in Devon. Our traditional Kyrgz yurts are a spacious 18’ diameter with a superb crown in the centre to stargaze at night. We have 4 stunning yurts to choose from.
Bramley: The yurt sleeps 4 people in a double bed and 2 single beds. We also have 2 extra roll out mattresses to accommodate larger families.
Pippin: The yurt sleeps 4 people in a double bed and two singles. We can provide additional beds for larger families.
Russet: Situated in small apple orchard in a private field, this yurt sleeps 4 people in a double bed and two singles. We can also put up 1 bell tents which will sleeps and additional 4 people.
Bess: The yurt sleeps 4 people in a double and 2 single beds. We also provide roll out mattresses to accommodate larger families if required.
All the yurts are close to a shower and toilet block which has hot showers, flushing loos and washing up facilities.
All the yurts also boast a private campfire space and outdoor dining area. The yurts also have a wood burning stove to keep you cosy at night. There is solar lighting to extend the evenings inside the yurt as well. Cooking outdoors is a wonderful part of the glamping experience and the yurts have access to a Kotlich/Bograc enamel cooking pot and griddle: perfect for making soups, stews, frying and barbecuing. Each yurt has its own private outdoor cooking area with fire pit as well.
There is a large communal kitchen seats up to 20 people with a microwave and fridges. There is also a communal outdoor cooking pit for larger groups.
We can offer homemade pizza cooked in our wood fired pizza oven which can be pre-booked.
Valley Yurts is on the border of England and Wales, close to the Offa’s Dyke Path with so many beautiful places to walk and visit. The nearest market town is Kington. It can easily be reached by a short car journey or a stunning walk over Hergest Ridge from the bottom of our lane right into the centre of Kington. The famous town of Hay on Wye is only a short drive away and there are plenty of other lovely places to visit while you are here. Brecon Beacons National Park is a wonderful place to spend some time during your visit. There are paths and trails for walkers, runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, horse riders and wildlife-watchers.
