Description

Racquety Farm is an organic haven certified by the Soil Association, featuring a blend of arable land, pastures, orchards and woodlands. Located just a short stroll from the heart of Hay-on-Wye yet immersed in the countryside, the farm offers direct access to scenic trails like the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path, with stunning views of the surrounding farmlands, woodlands, and mountains. Our riverbank is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

In the summer, we welcome tents and small camper vans, such as VW campers or similar-sized vehicles. During autumn and winter, we offer limited camping subject to ground conditions but typically can accommodate camper vans in the Larchwood Studio parking area. This area provides easy access to our shower facilities, mains water and basic washing up amenities.

Please note, we do not accommodate caravans or motorhomes.

Walk-in campers or those cycling to us can choose between a quaint orchard spot or our main campsite, both offering peaceful retreats a mere 5-10 minute walk from Hay town centre.

Our facilities include hot showers, washing up spaces, fire pits upon request and two compost toilets, all maintained to high standards. We provide eco-friendly soaps and shampoos in the showers, washing up liquid at the stations and ensure daily waste and recycling collection.

For a unique experience, explore our glamping options:

The Larchwood Cocoon: A geodesic cabin nestled in the woods near the River Wye, offering a serene getaway. It accommodates up to 4 in its two bedrooms, with a compact but airy feel, equipped with a small shower, toilet, 'galley kitchen' and outdoor gas barbecue.

Racquety Lodge: Ideal for family gatherings, this lodge is set within a private garden on the farm, close to Hay-on-Wye. It comfortably sleeps 7, with additional beds available to accommodate more guests in family room setups.

The Bothy: A secluded cottage in the woods by the River Wye, providing a tranquil escape with easy access to Hay's vibrant town centre. It sleeps 6, with additional sleeping options available in the living room.

The Carapace: A cosy, perfectly appointed room with breathtaking views, ideal for up to 2 or 3 guests. It comes with its own kitchen, shower, compost toilet, outdoor seating area and barbecue.

Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventurous outdoor experience, Racquety Farm offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfortable accommodation.
