Buford Town Centre is just a five minute walk from the site with shops, pubs and places to eat. There are so many things to see and do in the area around. William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" and it remains most attractive in its setting alongside the river. The 14th Century Arlington Row provides the focal point. This was originally a wool store, then altered into weavers cottages and is now restored by the National Trust.

We are conveniently positioned 8 miles from the M4 motorway and are easily accessible to many other places of interest. (Bath is circa 30 miles away, Avebury 7 miles, Stonehenge 25 miles, Salisbury 30 miles and Hungerford 10 miles). Newbury, with its famous racecourse is approximately 25 miles away and the Kennet and Avon canal is only 6 miles away. Savernake Forest is within easy reach at a distance of just 2 miles. There are numerous walks in the vicinity where one can experience the beauty of the Marlborough Downs and the stunning landscape that surrounds us.

The Golden Swan

Our caravan and camping park is open from Easter until the end of October. We have 28 electric hook-up points and there is also an area for tents and caravans or motor homes that do not require electricity. We welcome a small number of contractors throughout the year. There a far reaching views across the surrounding countryside.

Please note the electricity supply is suitable for lights, television etc., but not suitable for heaters, electric kettles and immersion heaters.

Situated in a very quiet spot 1.5 miles from the National Trust Village of Lacock the campsite has its own lake 'Silverlands' that is well known for coarse fishing.
The campsite also has a shower block with hot showers, toilets and wash basins.
Lacock Abbey is a thirteenth century Nunnery that eventually became the home of William Henry Fox Talbot, a pioneer in photography and there is a Museum of Photography at the Abbey. Today Lacock is famous for being the venue for many period drama productions, most notably 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'Moll Flanders'.

Our family site offers a handful of pitches, all located close to our Brampton Valley Way access point. They have their own dedicated toilets and shower room and are completely fully serviced. The pitch is hard standing, gravel topped to allow for awning pegs to pass through and each pitch is adequate enough to accommodate a large van, awning and vehicle on the hard pitch alone. At the end of the site, there is a turning circle and a chemical disposal point with refuse facilities and fresh water.

We sit in a secluded semi-woodland setting and offer good walking, woods, streams and a local farm shop directly from the site. We are the only campsite in Wiltshire that allows real fixed open campfires. On the campfire field and meadow field we have 4 fixed campfire pits and 6 mobile fire pits for hire at £20 this includes £10 worth of logs. These grass pitches are located in the Campfire & Meadow field. These are all level grass pitches, suitable for a range of tent sizes, trailer tents and small VWs and come with limited electric hook up and access to water. We also offer luxury hard standing pitches for large motorhomes and RUVs.
