Lower Lacon Caravan Park
Wern, ShropshireThe Shingler family welcome you to Lower Lacon Caravan Park, situated just one mile from the attractive market town of Wem, North Shropshire with train and bus services and convenient for many local attractions. For example the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ellesmere and Whitchurch, all within 10 miles.
Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive’s paternal grandfather. When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). In 1971 Clive’s parents bought the ground back and decided to develop a caravan site.

Outside each yurt has its own deck with a picnic table and barbecue from which you can enjoy stunning views towards the Black Mountains. Each yurt also has its own compost loo close by and its own camp kitchen.
Pennal, Snowdonia National Park, PowysGwerniago Campsite is located in the heartland of Mid Wales, at the most southern point of the Snowdonia National Park. Gwerniago is a family run working farm run by a Welsh speaking family. The campsite is situated on the edge of Pennal village in the beautiful unspoilt Dyfi (Dovey) Valley.
Our new shower and toilet block facilities were opened in 2012. The block consists of four individual toilets, two male and two female and a fully accessible disabled shower and toilet room at the rear of the building. At the front of the building there are separate male and female shower facilities, providing two cubicles in each, with washbasin facilities. In the centre of the building there is a family room with bath and overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, which is particularly suitable for use with young children who need to be supervised. Situated at the side of the building is a small kitchen with a washing up sink, fridge and freezer and power points for charging phones etc. Outside, under cover, there are two sinks with hot water for washing dishes. The hot water is heated by solar panels, backed up by electricity. There is no extra charge for these facilities.

2 pods are called Damson and Blue Bell. They can sleep up to three adults or two adults and two children. Our Damson Mulinopod is pet friendly and we welcome well behaved dogs on our farm. As we have sheep roaming around your Mulinopods, we have to limit this to two per stay and must be kept on leads at all times.
