2 pods are called Damson and Blue Bell. They can sleep up to three adults or two adults and two children. Our Damson Mulinopod is pet friendly and we welcome well behaved dogs on our farm. As we have sheep roaming around your Mulinopods, we have to limit this to two per stay and must be kept on leads at all times.

The facilities are basic therefore our fees are reasonable.

Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive’s paternal grandfather. When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). In 1971 Clive’s parents bought the ground back and decided to develop a caravan site.

Our family friendly holiday park has two areas designated for tents and touring caravans. The first area is ideally placed in the heart of the park and close to the toilet/shower block and gives a great view of the childrens' play area so you can easily supervise your children having a great time. The second area is slightly more secluded but provides the perfect setting for larger groups, such as scout groups, social clubs etc. The more confined second area can also help people, such as scout leaders, to better manage the children they are supervising.

Children will enjoy Clumber Park as it is part of what was once Sherwood Forest, and there are plenty of reminders of the Forest's most famous resident, Robin Hood. Call at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, 10 miles drive from the site, to find out all about him, and to see the Great Oak where he is said to have hidden, and then visit Nottingham to experience a most imaginative audio/visual exhibition called 'The Tales of Robin Hood'. You are involved in scenes including a horse ride and a rescue - the children love it.

The glamping site is located on an oxbow lake in a tranquil location away from the farm and dairy buildings. The Manor Farm pub is conveniently located on the farm site and serve very affordable meals. Any history enthusiasts may also be interested to know the farm was a key site in the civil war with both the first and last battles of the war being fought on the land in 1642 and 1651.
