All of our facilities are fully accessible for wheelchairs. We also have a disabled wet room and a separate disabled toilet and can recommend pitches closer to facilities for even better access.

The campsite is located behind The Wild Boar Inn. Turning off the main A54 and passing through the pub car park you enter a second car park (allocated for hard standing pitches) through which the camping field is accessed via a gate.

Lower Lacon Caravan Park
Wern, ShropshireThe Shingler family welcome you to Lower Lacon Caravan Park, situated just one mile from the attractive market town of Wem, North Shropshire with train and bus services and convenient for many local attractions. For example the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Ellesmere and Whitchurch, all within 10 miles.
Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive’s paternal grandfather. When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). In 1971 Clive’s parents bought the ground back and decided to develop a caravan site.

Two local inns are also within walking distance, one being at Monsal Head (The Stable Bar) and just down the road The Pack Horse Inn, both serve very good food and beer.
This is a site predominantly for walkers. Groups and large tents are not encouraged. The site has a strict policy on the number of tents pitched so does not get over crowded. Tents and camper vans only. Respect for other campers is essential at all times – noise will not be tolerated.

Hope Valley, DerbyshireHardhurst Farm Camp Site is a small site situated in Hope Valley, Derbyshire with good views of the surrounding hills.
Breakfasts and cakes are served from the small on-site cafe. There is a pub (Travellers Rest) within walking distance and two more in Hope village, which also has takeaways and a shop.
There are electric hook-ups available for around 9 pitches. The site is mainly used by small tents campers and is a good base for walking or climbing in the area. The site is next to the local railway line, so there may be some noise.

We have new layouts for static caravans, attractively designed and fully serviced. We have bases for caravans up to 12 feet by 35 feet. We are happy for caravans to come on to the park if they are 10 years old or less and in very good condition – we can arrange transport and connection. Otherwise, caravans can be bought from us and our local caravan dealers.

Our glamping pods are only a short drive from Ashbourne and the many places of interest and local attraction throughout the heart of England.
2 pods are called Damson and Blue Bell. They can sleep up to three adults or two adults and two children. Our Damson Mulinopod is pet friendly and we welcome well behaved dogs on our farm. As we have sheep roaming around your Mulinopods, we have to limit this to two per stay and must be kept on leads at all times.

The campsite is well situated for walking into Matlock, there are many spectacular views, cliff edges and a scary footpaths (off the main path, you don't have to take it) that has a one way system due to the drop. Take the Pic Tor route for an easier walk, still lovely views.
Elland Hall Farm Caravan Park

This is a small and select park, taking only 63 privately owned static caravans. All caravans are fully serviced with gas, electricity, water and sewerage. Bottled gas is available onsite. The other facilities onsite include a laundrette, telephone, play area, games room and a fishing lake. The lake is a 5 minute walk away and is stocked with carp, roach, rudd and tench. There is also a selection of new and used caravans on sale and can also purchase any new model from leading manufacturers to suit your requirements.
